    • In the folder, you will find the data fills you need to set-up your website. The SHORT file is for only the table. The FULL file is for the entire table using CSS. Bonus points for completing the FULL file.

    • The video will take you through how to complete the tutorial. Use if you are confused or miss class.

    • When done the radio station table, you are to zip your folder and submit it here.

    In this unit, we will:

    • Explore how to style elements.
    • Identify the difference between internal and external style sheets.
    • Explore CSS styles and fonts.
    • Float elements and insert backgrounds.
    • Apply border styles to an element.
    • We will use this link to introduce css and experiment with how it works. Read through the different types of CSS and play with the try it yourself sections. When done, move onto the CSS Tutorial.

    • This link will take you to a tutorial of how to use CSS in an HTML document and allow you to explore over 200 examples of styling. Pretty cool! Your in class assignment is to create a blank html page with at least two different internal styles. The content should be two fun facts about you. The styles can include color, text, background image, etc. Use the tutorial and examples to help you. Show me when done. 4 points.

    • Once you went through the tutorials and experimented, you are going to create a CSS page of your own that uses an internal style sheet. Open the assignment for directions. Show me when done. 10 points for completion.

    • Use the example to assist you in creating your CSS page. It should be the same except for the background color and text.

    • This zipped folder contains all the files you need to start the tutorial, review, and case assignments. When you are ready to start an assignment, unzip the folder and copy the files to your flashdrive or Skydrive folder. Remember, it is important to keep your files organized!

    • When done the Sunny Acres Tutorial, show me in class. You can also zip and submit here if you are absent. 20 points for completion and correctness.

  • In this unit, we will:

    • Experiment with how to create forms in HTML.
    • Insert text boxes, radio buttons, checklists, and submit buttons into forms.
    • We will use this link to introduce forms. You are to go through all of the try it yourself sections and add a new feature to the form. When done, move onto the tutorial.

    • You are going to create a simple order form for pizza. Use the pictures to assist you in coding out the form. Remember to save and check your work! Show me when done. 8 points.

    • You are going to create form from scratch that allows you a user to order their cap and gown. Requirements:

      • Title using H1
      • Two text field boxes for first and last name.
      • Radio buttons for Male or Female.
      • Dropdown for cap and gown size. S, M, L, XL
      • Submit button that mails to your email address.

      When done, zip the folder and submit here. 10 points on completeness and correctness.

  • If you finish the forms section and assignments, you can either start your final project OR work through layouts and media in w3schools.

    • We will use this link to introduce layouts. You are to go through all of the try it yourself sections and add a new layout to the tutorial.

      CHALLENGE: When done going through the tutorial, add a layout to anything you did this year for this class or create something of your own. Bonus points!

Also below is the picture "Wildcats.jpg" you will need to download to your folder in order to complete the website. You can practice as many times but you need to code this out in notepad during our class. Email me with any questions and feel free to use w3schools.com if you are stuck!
