    • RESOURCES FOR PLAYERS AND PARENTS:

check out some of these links to help learn and improve your lax knowledge!

    • **Keep in mind that we only use low attack, attack wings, center, defense wings and low defense as our "position terminology"--Refer to the link above to read a break down of the positions and to better understand their labels.

    • **please take note--contact should be minimal--NEVER EXTEND YOUR ARMS, PUSH ON OR LEAN ON the opposing team, that is a foul and will be called.

Direct with your hips, show the offender where you are allowing them to go--you tell them what lane they are taking.

    • **These tips are for shots being taken CLOSE TO CAGE, where finesse is key and power is not needed.

    • *Remember that the safest position to keep your stick protected is to always have shoulder, shoulder, ball--your body protects your stick and ball

    • *although they mention "shoulder to shoulder contact" in the video, you should never push or lean on your opposing player--the most important part of creating a double team situation is communication and proper "V" positioning of the two defenders

    • *Remember that you are not allowed to touch or hold the head of your stick--your hand must be directly below it, even on a draw.
