Likes: There are many advantages about having twitter in the educational setting.  Twitter allows educators to discuss and connect with other educators outside of the school/community that one may be located.  Twitter allows people to find information that may take more time on other websites - it allows for people to find specifics and gather various information on that topic with a simple #.  It has been said that Twitter gives educators a "voice" too.  Twitter connects with various websites that allow you to view information all at one time, which can help people find what they are looking for at one glance, versus hours of scrolling.  Twitter also has a constant feed; there is always information that is scrolling.  You can follow/unfollow/create lists/and much more, which allows people to organize their twitter with ease, and not be overwhelmed.

Dislikes:  There are times when Twitter is overwhelming.  For example, Hootsuite, which combines with Twitter, is a great resource, but will take time getting used to, due to the numerous feeds happening all at once.  There is a lot of information and it can put a person in "overload."  Another dislike is that hashtags that once meant one thing, may begin to have a different meaning in time, which can make creating lists and finding information more difficult.

When I weigh the differences, there are more advantages.  I simply need time to get used to all the different features since it has so much to offer. - I was always familiar with Twitter and how it worked, however, I did not know all of the different sites that correspond to Twitter, all the educational information out there, and even how hashtags/# may "disappear" or become something different.
