As a digital immigrant, it seems like the latest trend that students will tire of eventually. Teaching with digital "tools" may be useful as any teaching tool can become. This article almost seems to make the point that the digital natives are the ones to transfer knowledge and teach critical thinking skills. I am interested in learning this as A teaching tool, not the only one.
I agree, it is an additional tool, not the exclusive tool for educators.
I remember when a professor told me the internet was a "fad" - in 97, and we see how that one went. :)
But I think that students should be able to learn both ways, as they need to use both to succeed in the world.
