The author makes some valid points comparing the "language" of these new learners with the "old way" of learning. We can incorporate more assignments into a form that will be more appealing to kids. Yet, I still wonder if we ALL do these same kinds of postings and forums, won't the kids now be bombarded with activites that they become bored with because they are doing so much of the same type of assignments in so many of their classes?

It is too easy to post assignments on moodle, and yes I think if we all did this, the students would be too bogged down.  They don't want to responde all night to teachers'  assignments, they want to IM friends.

Yep.  Remember, there will always be something new around the corner...and you will always work with those with less "drive" to experiment with new technology.
