Won't there always be a divide between the students' generation and our own generation? With technological advances occurring at rapid-fire speed, this gap between the "digital natives" and the "digital immigrants" will always exist. I guess it is our job as educators to diminish that gap as much as possible. Some of the ways we can do that include being open to taking technology-based courses. It's difficult because sometimes what students know how to do may take us hours to learn. It seems as if understanding basic computer functions is not enough anymore!
I agree that there will always be a gap, technolgy never stops changing and neither should our style of teaching.
