Please note: adding a video to a label will mean it displays as soon as the user opens the course. This can be beneficial if the video is, for example, an introduction to the course or an integral part of the whole course. However, if there are several videos in labels, they can slow the loading of the course down, especially if the videos are coming from an external site. Adding a video to a seperate page in Moodle means that the user has to click a text link to reach the video, but it doesn't clutter up the main course page and it is a better choice if the course contains a large number of videos.

Steps for Embedding Media on Moodle 2.0:

1. Copy the code for the media you wish to embed. Be sure to copy the entire code.

2. Sign into Moodle and Turn editing on.

3. Click on the "Add a Resource" drop down menu. Click on "Page."

4. Name your page and write a short description (both are required).

 5. Under "Page content" write the instructions for using the embedded media. Include links to rubrics, assignments, graphic organizers, or list information about what you expect students to do or learn from the embedded media.

6. To add the media: on the editing ribbon, click on the HTML command, which is the second from last symbol on the right (3rd row). This is the toggle symbol for HTML source code.

7. Right click and paste the code you copied for your embedded media.

8. Save.
