Ice Breakers that Rock From Vicki Davis

This was a fabulous article on how to break the ice with the kids on the first couple days of school. It was geared more toward the younger kids and the kids just starting kindergarten that may not know many people if an in that school. My favorite ice breaker was to blob. Where the kids make themselves into a blob based on their likes and characteristics.

An article that explains ways to use iPads in primary classrooms beyond merely selecting apps and handing the devices over to the students.

Ipad: Essential Apps

Essential Ipad Apps

This article provides a list of some great Ipad apps for teachers with their own Ipad. Most of this article is focused on teacher organization tools, but there are links to other articles that have apps that are more student directed. The one that I would like to try on this list is Stick Pick, which is an app where you can put in all the student's names and it randomly picks names for activities (like virtual popsicle sticks).

Ipads in Primary Classroom

Ipads in Primary Classroom

This article focuses on case studies that have used Ipads as a motivational tool and resource for students doing different projects. What is great about it, is that it is really recent, and seems to be updated frequently with new ideas and studies about using the Ipad in a classroom setting. There are also many links to other articles focused on Ipads in primary classrooms. I think that this would be helpful to teachers with a set of Ipads in their room.
