Some myths that exist in our own culture are myths about our founding fathers, historical figures, and religious events, also we have myths about creatures. Native American sources can support some of our myths such as the ones about creatures. But most of our myths are supported by folk songs, riddles, and the bible. Today people might considered technology such as computer a source for our myths, because with technology information can be exchanged worldwide and can never be erased.

What these sources have in common is they speak of the god/goddess and they give an explanation for why a certain event occurred. Overall these sources say about Greek and Roman mythology is that it the myths were almost religious to them and the ancient people were very sentimental about their mythology, it wasn't until the end of the second century A.D. that the god/goddess became like a joke, in which this ended the Greeks and Romans respect in a sense to their mythology.
